About the Role

SIMPL is led by a team of specialized, internationally experienced professionals based in Singapore. Our focus is on sourcing and evaluating impact investment opportunities, managing risks, and overseeing transactions to ensure alignment with our goals.

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to kick-start or grow their careers in the financial services sector. As an Associate, you'll play a vital role in supporting the execution of financial analysis, research, and operational tasks, helping drive SIMPL’s growth across multiple geographies and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct industry and market research to support investment decisions and identify new business opportunities.
  • Organize and assist with due diligence for both on-site and off-site potential investments, analyzing financial and non-financial data to support credit and impact assessments.
  • Review monthly and quarterly investee reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with covenants and trends.
  • Collaborate with senior team members throughout the end-to-end investment deal process, coordinating with Governance, Legal, and Finance teams.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations, managing workflows, and ensuring smooth internal processes.

What You Will Bring

  • A degree in finance, business administration, economics, development, or a related field (undergraduate, post-graduate, or professional).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial services, consulting, or a similar field.
  • Preferred experience in financial modeling, market research, transaction execution, and impact/risk evaluation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver actionable solutions.
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and open to feedback, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Self-driven, with a passion for taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality results.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity, and openness to working across diverse topics and cultures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with financial markets, investment products, and risk management concepts is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with financial modeling tools is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in regional languages is an advantage.
