Aussie carnage as Nick Kyrgios, Jordan Thompson tipped to be replaced in Davis Cup squad

Nick Kyrgios was initially named in Australia's Davis Cup squad for the tie against Sweden in Stockholm on January 31 and February 1, marking his return after a five-year absence.

However, his participation was later jeopardized due to an abdominal injury sustained during his first-round loss at the Australian Open.

Consequently, Aleksandar Vukic has been called up to replace Kyrgios in the squad.

Additionally, Thanasi Kokkinakis withdrew from the Davis Cup team due to a shoulder injury, further impacting the lineup.

As a result, Jordan Thompson is expected to be replaced in the Davis Cup squad, with Vukic stepping in to fill the vacancy.
