Position Overview: Housekeeping & Maintenance Role

This role offers a competitive pay rate of $26.95 per hour and comes with overtime opportunities. You will be tasked with general housekeeping duties, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the building, grounds, and processing equipment. This position is a 2nd shift, running from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and requires a willingness to work overtime and varying shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties, including sanitation and changeover tasks according to the Changeover SOP, Master Cleaning Schedule, and SSOP’s.
• Take responsibility for the maintenance of the soap storage room.
• Lead and participate in quarterly cleaning programs and major clean-ups, including wet washing.
• Handle other assigned duties by the supervisor.

Equipment and Materials Handling:

• Be responsible for the proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Operate essential equipment such as Genie Boom, high lifts, scrubbers, walk-behind scrubbers, foamers, and others, while ensuring the correct chemicals and ratios are used for each.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Basic proficiency in English is needed to follow verbal and written directions, signs, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
