About the Role: Wise is seeking a Corporate Health, Safety & Security (HSS) Specialist to join their dynamic team in Singapore. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations across Wise’s APAC offices while supporting the global Head of Workplace Risk and Compliance. As a Corporate HSS Specialist, you'll be tasked with implementing proactive programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing essential guidance for Wise’s expanding office network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure HSS Compliance: Serve as a core member of the internal audit team, ensuring HSS compliance across APAC locations.
  • Provide Regulatory Guidance: Offer expert advice and operational consultation to both internal teams and external stakeholders on HSS matters.
  • Risk Reduction & Incident Management: Take proactive steps to reduce injuries and illnesses, conduct HSS risk assessments, and assist in incident investigations.
  • Support Global Initiatives: Work alongside the Head of Workplace Risk and Compliance to implement global policies and projects that enhance safety and security across the organization.
  • Crisis Response & Business Continuity: Play an integral role in responding to emergencies, offering specialized HSS guidance, and contributing to the development of Wise’s Business Continuity plans.
  • Monitor HSS Performance: Track and report HSS performance in the APAC region, ensuring that targets and objectives are met effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expert Knowledge & Experience: At least 5 years of HSS experience, with a solid understanding of local laws and regulations in APAC.
  • Crisis Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing emergency situations, with the ability to handle unexpected crises calmly and efficiently.
  • Travel Risk Management: Familiarity with tools and systems to manage travel risks is highly desirable.
  • Proactive & Independent: Strong ability to work autonomously and take initiative in addressing potential risks.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex HSS concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

Bonus Skills:

  • Professional certifications in Occupational Safety, Health, Security, or related fields.
  • Membership in professional HSS bodies such as IOSH or ASIS.
  • First Aid certification.

Additional Information:

  • The position is based in Singapore, and candidates must be Singaporean Citizens or Permanent Residents, as visa sponsorship is unavailable.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to Wise’s sustainability reports and participate in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) committee.
