Your Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

  • Follow lesson plans left by the absent teacher.
  • Deliver engaging lessons to keep students on track.
  • Provide feedback to the school administration on classroom activities.
  • Maintain school and CSUSA policies to ensure a positive learning environment.

Student Management

  • Maintain classroom routines and procedures.
  • Oversee student behavior and encourage a respectful, productive environment.
  • Ensure a smooth school day by assisting students as needed.

Building Positive Relationships

  • Foster strong relationships with faculty and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
  • Support a positive school culture aligned with CSUSA’s values.

What You Need to Succeed

At CSUSA, we seek individuals who are passionate about education and committed to excellence.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • A high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
  • Completion of the district’s substitute workshop (if required).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiasm for education and a commitment to student success.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • A typical school setting, which may be noisy at times.
  • Light physical activity, such as moving classroom materials.
  • Requires the ability to manage a dynamic, active classroom environment.
