Key Responsibilities

As a Facilities Management professional, you will be responsible for a range of duties that ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency in building operations. Some of your core responsibilities include:

1. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure that in-house technicians and contractors comply with workplace safety, health, and fire safety regulations during any rectification or replacement work.
  • Take charge of incident response during the initial stages before the arrival of the appointed personnel.
  • Stay updated with emergency response, incident management, crisis management, and business continuity plans.

2. Incident & Emergency Management

  • Assist the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and Site Incident Controller (SIC) in conducting fire drills, evacuation exercises, disaster drills, and real-incident management.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations on all reported incidents and submit reports by the end of the day.
  • Ensure the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) responds appropriately and promptly to incidents.

3. Facilities & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee the Fire Command Centre (FCC) and supervise daily operations.
  • Manage building systems, including ACMV, lighting, fire alarm system, EM doors, paging system, lift monitor system, car park system, and CCTV.
  • Assign competent technicians for daily checks and repair works for every shift.
  • Maintain accurate technical requirements for ACMV and lighting, ensuring smooth event operations.
  • Optimize energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction efforts.

4. Work Flexibility & Additional Duties

  • Be open to working on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays based on event requirements.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Qualifications & Skills Required

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Minimum NITEC qualification in M&E Engineering or Building Services-related fields.
  • 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in facilities management.
  • Strong technical and hands-on skills.
  • Proactive attitude, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
