Job Overview

The successful candidate will be assisting a team of over 200 engineers in organizing and streamlining daily activities. From managing schedules and travel logistics to preparing reports and presentations, you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

As the Administrative Specialist, you’ll have a variety of duties that contribute to the department’s success:

  • Expense Report Management: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of travel expenses.
  • Document Creation: Generate reports, charts, and presentations with speed and accuracy using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Organize and support meetings and conference calls, both virtual and in-person.
  • Onboarding New Hires: Assist in the hiring process by managing office space, equipment orders, and training.
  • Cross-department Collaboration: Work across departments, including HR, Security, and Talent Acquisition, to ensure smooth operations.

In this role, you’ll be expected to maintain confidentiality, work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications You Must Have

To be considered for this position, you’ll need:

  • Education & Experience: A 2-year degree (AA/AS) or equivalent training with at least 6 years of relevant experience in administrative or project coordination roles.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • Scheduling & Organizational Experience: Proven experience in planning and organizing schedules and events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: An AS or BS degree in a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Raytheon Experience: Familiarity with Raytheon’s internal systems for scheduling, expense reporting, and clearance processing.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance within 1 year.
