Welding Inspector
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Welding Inspector to join our team as a Company Site Representative in Singapore. This full-time position involves supporting the QA/QC Supervisor in ensuring all fabrication, production, construction, and installation activities comply with project contracts, specifications, and industry standards. Your primary role will be to maintain high-quality standards in welding activities while identifying and addressing potential non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily quality assurance and control surveillance, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Identify non-conformances and areas for improvement, issuing Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and following up until closure.
- Witness and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT).
- Conduct general surveillance and inspection of welding activities during fabrication, production, construction, and installation.
- Ensure proper implementation of approved procedures for material storage, consumables control, joint preparation, welding parameters, weld inspections, and repairs according to ITP (Inspection & Testing Plan) and specifications.
- Ensure quality deliverables (such as ITP, procedures, certifications) align with construction timelines.
- Perform surveillance to ensure the effective implementation of QA activities on-site.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality assurance surveillance and welding inspection.
- Certification as a Welding Inspector (ISO9712 / CSWIP 3.1 Level 2, CWI, or equivalent).
- Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as UT, RT, MT/PT, and PAUT is an advantage.
- Proven ability to conduct quality assurance audits and surveillance inspections.
- Proficiency in verifying compliance with method statements, procedures, and ITP requirements.
